Question:If you had to evacuate your home quickly in a natural disaster, what would you take with you?

I sometimes think of this when I hear stories like these wildfires in California, or a hurricane in the Caribbean. If my home could be destroyed, what would I want to save? I would probably take photographs, my cello and my jewelry chest (with my passport and such). Do you know what you would grab for if you have to evacuate in a hurry?

Answer:

We have a small firebox that has all of our important documents and items, and probably our wedding album. Other than that, everything is replaceable.

Answer:

I would grab my cat, passport, birth certificate/social security card, wallet and i think my laptop. Is it terrible to say that? My life is on that machine. I've also backed up valuable documents on it that would really help me out in case everything I had was gone.
