Get up from your desk

I get bored living in email all day long. Sometimes I like to actually speak with someone in person. If you don't think it's an intrusion, try poking your head into a colleagues office for a quick chat, instead of email or instant messaging. The face-to-face interaction can sometimes move the project (and the work relationship) along much quicker.
