Tips

To Sell or Not to Sell

Before you begin prepping your house for sale, it’s important to analyze your decision carefully. Fools rush in! Not only is a home usually the center of a family’s wealth, it’s also full of personal charm. Make sure you’re ready to leave the place when you do. Conversely, if it’s time to make a change, don’t let fear lock you in place!

Think about the pros and cons of selling. There are dozens of reasons people do it—size, job relocation, divorce or retirement. Many people simply want an upgrade. That’s ok, too.

However, be sure to see both sides of the coin. Don’t be whimsical. If holding onto your current home right now is the go-to option, do it. Consider your finances and local market conditions, too. Can you afford to sell your home? Call you afford to keep it?

Ultimately, whether or not you sell your home is up to you and your family. Whatever decision you make should be informed by their needs and wants, too.
