Question:HOW TO QUIT WHEN YOUR HUSBAND IS A SMOKER AND REFUSES TO QUIT

Asked by IZZY01 on 2/8/09 3 Answers»

Answer:

Myself my roomate smokes. I've come to realize that it's important to let him realize, on his own, that smoking isn't much fun or good etc. How this happends is that every time he steps out for a smoke, by himself now, instead of with a buddy, it's less enjoyable for him now. I keep that in the back of mind that, by me not stepping out there with him, I feel better about my health and wallet and all that, but I feel good about how it's obviously less enjoyable for the other person now. Does that make sense?

Hello, I also agree-he must respect the fact that you are trying to better yourself. Don't give up for someday he may think--"Perhaps I should give this a whirl myself"!! Congratulations and keep up the smoke free life... Love and Light...

Answer:

Demand that he smokes outside the house or in the garage and understands that you are doing this for your health and he needs to respect that.
