N-O Spells No

Everyday_change_50x50
What is it with saying yes all the time? It's nice to want to tell people what they want to hear, but if what you really want to say is no, learn when you can and how you should. It's OK to politely decline from time to time!

Move to a new city

susiejordan

I have recently moved, and I think it's important to give yourself permission to not have everything done immediately. I am still struggling with that concept, know in my heart, but my head says differently. However, if I stay in the 'now' it is easier to cope with the move. I am glad I did it, but on the 3rd week, I am finding it harder than the first 2 weeks. Not sure why, but that's what's happening. I haven't started work yet, and don't really know anyone, but I am hanging in there, knowing I will get connected.

Keep up the good work to all that are looking to move and have moved, it's hard, but you can do it. I did!

That makes sense about the first 2 weeks. There's so much to do it's probably easier to get distracted. Then it finally donned on you that you moved!

Do you like your new city and/or neighborhood? It can be difficult, but I would try exploring, even if on your own. Walk around the neighborhoods, find out what's popular or what interests you. Maybe take a book to a cafe or the library and just absorb it all at first.

It's so good to hear that other people are feeling the same way I am. I just moved to a new city about 3-4 weeks ago. You've both hit it head-on that the first couple of weeks seemed so easy and almost fun, but the third week I just fell apart. I don't make friends easily anyway because I tend to stick to myself, and don't open up very easily, leaving me feeling extremely lonely in a new town.
