From my point of view and I'm guessing most blokes are the same regardless of age - a geniune sense of humour, good conversation and I don't mean complaining about expartners, a woman who takes pride in her appearance and health is always a bonus, then there is the usual reliable, honest, trustable - most blokes know we all have bad days and will get past them.

If your employer allows have part of your salary paid directly into your emergency account, and while your at it set up another account for future bills calculate what your annual bills like power, car registration etc cost for the year divide by 52 and have a weekly amount to cover this credited to your "future bills account' so when they arrive its no big deal.

TRUE I change public swimming pools because I bumped into a boss I didn't like at my previous pool and at the new pool I got chatting to this life guard on a regular basis I never though much about it when she came into the sauna one day and asked me out I nearly fell off the bench.

The best answer to this is to go where the people you want to met are going - EXAMPLE if you are female and are interested in meeting handymen maybe car mechanics course, - EXAMPLE TWO this I have found to be good if you are male under 35 becoming a regular at a cafe where you may find a female that is interesting works.
Past experience tells me that only people who cannot meet people go to singles events
