Rush hour traffic in the Seattle area, equals if not surpasses rush hour traffic in Los Angeles.

I've observed -- if I let a car in, in front of me (who's been waiting who-knows-how-long), almost every time, the driver behind me will let a car in also, & the one after her, also -- and so forth & so on. AND people seem more patient!!

There's a really good program going on this year at one of the $1 stores, The Dollar Tree in the Renton, Wa. Highlands (Seattle area), to remember the kids of our troops at Christmas while the service parent is away on duty. And who can't afford to buy a dollar gift!!

Seems to me, Children, is what it's all about!

This is a great idea!

As this is written . . . . I see myself:
FREE!! The divorce is not yet final, but in the spring . . .
Review & renew massage training, go for state & national
certification
Carve out a space, no matter how small, for meditation,
praying, thinking, being . . .
Volunteer to help others at a local senior facility or hospice
with Reiki & other healing energy modalities
Renew, renovate, & enrich me, as a person, through
courses, classes, workshops
Write my memoirs
Taking time out to have fun!
Surprise someone with a flower, smile at passersby, put a
coin in an "expired" parking meter, open the door for a frail
person, actively listen to someone who needs to talk, hug
everybody
Meet new people and visit new places
Walk in the mountains or on the beach, watch children at
play, look at the sun set & the moon rise, experience the
dolphins at play
Laugh and sing out loud!
Consiously live in the "now."
For all life's adventures -- the fun, joyious ones And the less
than happy ones, GIVE THANKS!

I am doing a similar exercise. I was unaware of long buried memories of a large part of my childhood until they started to re-emerge after the death of my mother in 2001. To look at these painful, sad episodes, in order to let them go, to release and forgive all involved, I need to get them down on paper. And that is cathartic !
A class, MEMOIRS, has helped greatly and I am discovering I have a story to tell -- my life experience -- which is unique from that of anyone else. It is what has shaped me to be who I am. And tho' no one else may ever read it, just the writing of it will have let me release that which truly no longer serves me!! YAHO-O-O-O!!

Do you have C.O.S.T.C.O. where you live? The ones here in this area have 99 cent lattes. In fact that's where I usually go when I get the "urge!"
