Meditating Through Crises

Meditating Through Crises

When in a real estate slump—get into the lotus position and meditate? That’s what one group of real estate agents in South Florida is doing to get through the housing crisis. For those in the business, the shifting economy threatens all aspects of life; agents ponder career changes and other drastic measures to prevent their own houses from going into foreclosure.

Since this is usually a strong geographic area for real estate, Illustrated Properties of Palm Beach Gardens ordered up  “meditation specialist” Mordy Levine. He teaches the agents the principles of daily meditation and how to manage higher stress levels with breathing exercises.

When going through a change, the sentiment that is so often repeated is that if you can’t change your circumstances, you can change your perspective. These real estate agents can't change the fate of the market alone, but together with clear, positive minds, their power only increases. Whether or not the economy is good, meditation can help your day-to-day mental clarity. [Sun Sentinel]
