Play on words

joepierce

The next time you fire up iTunes and you're not quite sure what you want to hear, don't smack the shuffle button right away. Instead, try this trick.

Type a word like "live", "love", "sun", "moon", or "sad" into the ITunes search box. When you do this, iTunes will return a list of songs that match the word.

For example, when you type in the word "live", you'll get back a list of songs that have the word live in their name, songs that appear on albums with the word live in their title, and songs by any band that has the word live in their name.

It's a neat trick. Give it a try. Type in words that match your mood, then press play.

I love this! I also do it according to season (typing in summer, autumn, etc.) to create impromptu, yet appropriate playlists.
