Dress You Up in My Love

Accessorizing is not just about picking the right color shoes to go with your outfit anymore: There are tons of products available to help accessorize your iPod to fit your life, everything from docking stations with built-in speakers to wearable video displays.

If you don’t know where to start, here are some suggestions:

  • The first and best accessory to buy is a protective case. There are many to choose from, so make sure to pick one that’s appropriate for your activity level. If you’re using it mostly at your desk, you might not need the case designed for runners and exercise enthusiasts.
  • Are you always getting your headphone cords tangled in your bag? Get a cord manager to keep your cord organized.
  • Ever wanted to watch an iPod video on your TV at a friend’s place? An AV cord easily connects your iPod to your TV to stream video.
  • Many users know that you can move digital photos to your iPod. But did you know that you can connect your camera directly to your iPod to upload photos? Apple makes an adaptor that uses your camera’s USB cord to connect to you iPod. Note that this only works on newer iPods.
  • Those little earbuds that Apple provides often don’t cut it when it comes to sound quality. Invest in a good set of headphones if you want crisp sound. Beware though—some headphones can cost hundreds of dollars.
  • You’ve made it through that two-hour meeting, but you forgot to take notes. If only your iPod could have recorded it. But it can! Buy a microphone accessory and use your iPod like a tape recorder.
