All the Single Fellas
Honeeeeeeeeey, did you remember to thank me for saving your life?
When you're a bachelor you answer to no one! You could have 37 boxes of pizza sitting on your ottoman and an ant farm underneath your bathroom sink, and unless you're next up for poker night, nobody will ever notice. While this may seem like paradise, it also has its downsides. For instance, a new study found that men who live alone are 40% less likely to get screened for prostate cancer than men living with a significant other.
"In terms of motivating people to get screened, there may be benefit in targeting wives or significant others as well as men," University of Michigan researcher Lauren P. Wallner writes in the study report.
I like how she diplomatically says, "motivating." Miss Wallner, I think the word you're looking for is "nagging." There's nothing like a caring mate asking you repeatedly to get you into the doctor.
Single guys, you don't have to get a significant other to get a little bit of positive naggation into your life. For a very reasonable price, I'll be willing to call you up 10 times a day with little reminders. I'm pretty good at nagging, and I happen to be single right now so I've got plenty of time on my hands to come up with subtle, yet guilt-ridden suggestions to provide extra motivation.
Now, sweetie, could you do me a favor and leave a comment about how much your life has been blessed by nagging? [Washington Post]

Yeah, I'm an excellent "motivator" to my fiancé, especially when it comes to his health. But, he reminds me (often) when I need to go to the doctor.
This does seem true and goes both ways for both sexes I think. You keep each other in check! Nagging or not, it IS nice to have someone to look out for you.
