Everyday Change

Who Cares If It Turns Out Right?

Everyday_change_50x50
Unless you're building a skyscraper or fixing a brain, there's room for error in your work. Sometimes, not forcing greatness/perfection leads to bigger and better ideas. So let go of whether a project is "right," and just let it be what it'll be.

Alice Walker quote

wishuponastar

I got this quote today in my Oprah mission calendar inspiration email.

"You don't need organized religion to connect with the universe. Often a church is the only place you can go to find peace and quiet... But it shouldn't be confused with connecting with one's spirit."

I am so with csterling and lorinhl. Just the words are contradicting 'organized' and 'religion'. Who comes up with this stuff. My favorite place to worship is in the shower.

i say amen to your comment. you know there is a saying, foxes has holes but the son of man(jesus) has no-where to lay his head.our heart, mind souls is the church this is were jesus lives and when we go to this building that we call church we bring him with us, that building will soon come down but the spirit of god that should live in us will live forever. i praise god anywhere and don't really care what man made traditions say. there is nothing to feel guilty about because if you have god in your heart he is with you 24/7 anywhere. god bless. peaceful1

Believing in a personal relationship with a Higher Power I choose to call God is what I would wish for everyone. I still go to church because my grandma took me every Sunday and it is where I still feel close to both her and God, it is my quiet time with them both, but if I don't go I do not beat myself up. All too often organized religion can do the opposite of what is suppose to do to the human spirit. Guilt is a useless emotion. My favorite place of worship is the beach.

How true! For me, the pressure to connect in an "organized" way is very destracting. I feel way more connected in a forest than in a church.
