Men Like Meat, Women Like Fruit

We all know that men and women are different. But did you know that those differences extended to food selection? Apparently, just as many men like trucks and women like makeup, when it comes to food, men tend to gravitate towards eating meat while women prefer fruits and vegetables.

This comes from a study done by the Foodborne Disease Active Surveillance Network. The study also had some unusual findings, such as women preferring eggs and yogurt while men were better brussels sprout and asparagus eaters. And if they had spoken to my dad, they would have found out that men generally don’t like tuna casserole either.

Even though these anecdotal findings are fun, living healthier  is all about striving to eat a balanced diet that includes all of these food options. So if guys could eat more strawberries while women had more burgers, maybe we could all understand each other that much more.  [CNN]
