Healthy Kids Day

Healthy Kids Day

This Saturday, get your kids up off the couch and outside to play. If don’t have your own kids, make plans to get up off your tush and move around with a friend and their child, a neighbor, niece or nephew! Can’t think of anything to do? Celebrate the 17th Annual Healthy Kids Day!

Events for the day vary at each YMCA, but most include physical activities to get your heart pumping, such as games and sports, as well as health screenings and information sessions. A new addition to this day of family fun is the Healthy Family Home program, to help families make small every day changes towards a healthier lifestyle. After all, every little thing adds up toward something big! Starter kits for the program will be able at Healthy Kids Day events across the country.

After all, it will be today’s children running the world one day, so they need to grow up healthy, strong and smart. Visit YMCA.net to find out if your local Y is having participating in Healthy Kids Day. [YMCA]
