Shout it Out

Shout it Out

There's no better way to let your lover know they're doing a bang-up job than to exclaim your appreciation out loud. However, if you're like most Americans and live within screaming distance of your neighbors, you probably already know there's only so many times you can tell them you're holding wrestling try-outs in your living room before they catch on to your cover-up story.

One British couple caused so much of a ruckus with their lovemaking that they have been banned from being in the same apartment together. Adam Hinton and Kelly Morris were accused of constantly banging headboards and screaming obscenities, and Morris was also accused of sunbathing nude in her yard where many of her neighbors could get a view.

"She is a classic nightmare neighbor," city spokesman Mike Taggart told the Associated Press. He said that the loud sex was only at the surface of the problem. "It's about allowing your neighbors to have a normal decent life without being disturbed."

If you crave a good shout fest, we suggest planning a special rendezvous on a Friday or Saturday night. Tell your neighbors you're throwing a party but that you promise to shut it down at a decent hour. Crank up some music and shout away. Do you worry that your sex life might be too noisy? What tips do you have for turning it down a couple of notches? [AOL News]

Unfortunately, in New York at least (and other crowded cities), it's par for the course. You hear your neighbor's footsteps, their doors opening, and everything else. At least people are getting it on? I'm glad the I have quiet, socially awkward neighbors!

We had apartment neighbors who liked to yell and scream when they were getting it on at all hours of the day. It was pretty hilarious at first, and I would think after some of us yelled cheers and "Ow ow!" enough times they would get embarrassed and stop. No such luck. I think it actually encouraged them to do it more often, and then it just got obnoxious and annoying. I'm all for a passionate love life, but not when it disrupts your neighbors' lives.
