Would you take a "love dare?"
I recently came across a mention of a book out called The Love Dare (Link, published in conjunction with the film Fireproof, which stars Kirk Cameron (there was an interview w/him in the NYTimes that mentioned the film and the book).
Both were made by suburban Georgia pastors Alex and Stephen Kendrick, who make films for Christian audiences.
The book is a 40-day program that encourages couples to improve their relationships by reading scripture and doing one loving thing each day for one another.
Would you take this "love dare," whether you're a Christian or not?
I would give it a try. I am not very religious, so I'm not sure about reading Bible passages each day, but I think doing one loving thing each day is a great idea. It's easy to forget to do those little things with kids, work, etc.
Wow, yes, that sounds awesome! I'm not really religious anymore, but I do read the Bible from time to time...and it's a great idea to really put thought into loving things each day...I'm sure the love is still "there", but making the extra effort to show it is always a good idea.
