Don't bite off more than you can chew
That's advice that probably works for a number of situations. I was thinking mostly about getting organized, in particular, clearing clutter. It can be overwhelming when you look at the big picture of a large organizing project. So much to do... where to begin.
The experts suggest (and I agree) that you have a vision of what you want the space to look like, make a plan for how you're going to get there and then break the project down into small, manageable chunks. Set aside a certain amount of time each time, whenever you can spare it. Don't wait for the time when you're going to be able to tackle it all at once, but you probably won't ever get that large chunk of time.
