Remember the saying "Slow and steady wins the race?" Turns out it's true. Slow down at work, with your partner and just in general. You may be surprised at how much sweeter life is when you aren't looking at it at warp speed.

Daiy Scale

Anonymous

One of my keys to maintaining weight loss has been to get on the scale every day.  Generally, people advise against this, but I believe that advice is for when you're trying to lose.  The .5 up and down daily could drive you crazy since our bodies are always going to fluctuate.

For me, getting on the scale first thing in the morning (sans pajamas) is a somewhat consistent barometer.  I give myself a 3 lb. range where I don't stress.  When I'm a little over, that's a day to focus on eating healthier or make the gym a priority.  This way, I don't gain 5 lb. without noticing over a few weeks or months and then feel overwhelmed at having to "diet" again.

After yo-yo-ing with 10-15 extra pounds for years, I've had a consistent weight since getting my scale a year and a half ago.  The effect that has had on my happiness and sanity has been so wonderful!

Hi,
I would agree, I can also tell by how my clothes fit and how I look in my underwear. Being short every pound shows quickly.
I have a question???
Does anyone have any recommendations on scales that calculate body fat also. I am looking for a new scale but not sure what to buy...
Would love some input..
Thanks
