Question:I have been married for 26 years and my husband no longer wants to be married. He is 49, I am 50, the kids are grown and I was looking forward to spending more time together and enjoying life. I am an emotional mess. I have been going to counseling. T

Answer:

Honestly look at your life and see what is the things you were planning to do with him and then what you would do for yourself. Make a list of ten things you have always wanted to do and do them. Also an animal, a kitten or puppy from the shelter is a way of loving on someone who loves you back unconditionally, who is happy upon your arrival and who you can spoon with at night. You took care of your husband for many years so just stopping life won't help. Take on another mission and leave him to his conclusions. The happier you become, the more faithe you have and the more focuse on yourself will metamorphize you into a butterfly, Your husband will probably want you back, but at that point I believe you will have moved on. Unlucky him. See this as an opportunity not a tragedy.

I am going through the same thing and have been married for 26 years also. I'm 45 and he is 46. I feel like I don't have a whole lot of self esteem left. I have been going to counseling for some time too, he would not go. Wish I had some advise for you, however, I'm in the same boat so I can relate to you. J
