Question:Are some people just destined to be single?

Lately, I just feel like maybe I'm not meant for marriage. I like the spark of meeting someone new, I enjoy dating—but at the end of the day I'm not sure I really want marriage.

Is that weird?

Answer:

I don't think it's weird at all. Some people aren't into marriage - look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. You can still spend your life with someone you love without being married to them.

Answer:

Well, there's the Oprah/Steadmond model, right, where you can be "dating" someone forever without getting married. It seems to work for them! I don't think you have to be married to be happy, but it sounds more to me like you're wondering if everyone is meant to find a soul mate? To that question...i would say YES! It's just a matter of continuing to look for that special someone...and sometimes the journey is intense and irritating but that's all part of it. You'll find someone, I know it! Everyone is entitled to a happily ever after.

Answer:

Certainly not. The nature or relationships has changed dramatically in the past 30 years. Many people are marrying later and some not at all.

It's important to learn what makes you happy and to learn to love yourself.
