Question:How does a shy guy go about meeting a certain type of woman without the Internet?

More and more people use dating sites to find their "match", but how about finding someone in our daily lives? For instance, a guy wanting to date a woman who studies martial arts, yet has a down-to-earth personality, is caring and intelligent.

Answer:

If you participate in activities you're passionate about, you're likely to find a woman with the same interests. Try talking about the class or something visually interesting. Striking up a conversation anywhere shouldn't difficult. I've found many people to be surprisingly chatty once I initiate conversation. Just be yourself and you'll be great!

Answer:

I think you kind of hit on something there ... the idea of just going about your life, doing the things you like to do and, hopefully, running into someone to date at the same time.

If you're taking a martial arts class now, look around and see who you think might be single. Consider organizing a day in the part to picnic together or a night out to see a movie ... maybe in a group it will be easier to talk to the person who interests you.
