Question:Ideas for meeting new people?

I've been thinking about taking one of those singles cruises, although the thought makes me cringe. Can anyone suggest some less corny ways of meeting new people?

Answer:

I saw an article on here where a guy in Canada started a chain of yoga centers specifically tailored for people to meet, greet, and possibly date. Despite Lonewolf's answer, I feel that singles events would be a great way to meet people, especially if you don't know how to own your own. Volunteering with a local charity is another way to meet people.

Answer:

The best answer to this is to go where the people you want to met are going - EXAMPLE if you are female and are interested in meeting handymen maybe car mechanics course, - EXAMPLE TWO this I have found to be good if you are male under 35 becoming a regular at a cafe where you may find a female that is interesting works.
Past experience tells me that only people who cannot meet people go to singles events
