Your New Year To-Do List for Yourself
If you want to improve your sense of peace and calmness as you welcome in the new year, do some inner work. Here are some suggestions to get you started:
- Write a letter to yourself. Have it come from your Higher Self. Go through what happened last year and what the wiser part of you would tell you.
- Figure out the few things that re-energize you and commit to doing them in the coming year. Is it spending time with nature? Working out? Sleeping in? Prayer and meditation? Writing? Be clear on what you need more of.
- Determine the worst thing that you tell yourself or the number-one excuse that gets in your way. Write it down and make friends with it. Ask yourself, "is this really true?" Who would you be and what would you do without this negative thought or excuse?
