Are You Making the Right Impact?
Each of us makes an impact, but is it the right impact? Motivational speaker, Jay Forte, invites us to do more of some things and less of others. He offers some examples:
- A twelve-year old girl works with her family to limit their trash output to one bag a week.
- A bystander helps an elderly man who has fallen on the street.
- A neighbor funnels rainwater from his roofs to irrigate plants and gardens.
- A friend never misses an opportunity to send a card, make a call or stay in touch.
"It is our choice to respond—to tread lightly," Forte reminds us, "when it comes to our planet, our resources and our world—and not to tread lightly when it comes to kindness, generosity, help and support."
What do you choose? Ask yourself:
What three ways will you use to tread lightly on the planet? And how will you share your ideas with others to do the same?
What three ways will you use not to tread lightly—BE BOLD—in your service and kindness to others, and how will you share your ideas with others to do the same?
