Question:Taking back and ex-husband

My ex and I divorced in November and neither of us really wanted this to happen, but it did. Now after talking he and I both would like to give things another try. Do I or don't I ? Torn and confused to say the least. He started dating again, I have not, I find myself comparing other men to my ex and none of them stand up to him. Advice??

Answer:

He wants to give it another try, but he's dating after nine months. Does that suggest sincerity to you?

Answer:

While I would usually say "lead with your heart" or allow yourself to be guided by what your heart is telling you, there must have been a reason you split up.

Can you have a real honest conversation with your ex and get to the bottom of what the root cause of your problem is? Unless you can address the root cause and not just the symptoms you're always going to be trying to put patches on something that probably needs to be resewn, if you know what I mean.
