Hi,

How have you fared since you posted this question? Learning to forgive is a very hard thing, but you're right - forgiveness IS divine. I, too, have found it hard to forgive people at times, but eventually through meditation I have been able to forgive them silently (in my mind and heart), or I have been able to speak with them personally and let them know that I forgive them.

Since you were abused, I think a great place to start would be to join a support group - either online or a physical group to meet with others that have been in the situation. Through their experience, you can get tips from them about how they were able to forgive their ex.

Additionally, I am sure there are many books in the library or your local bookstore that speak about forgiveness. You may want to check some of those out.

you should only feel the need to forgive yourself when you have done something wrong. you didnt do anything wrong he did.
