Midnight Don'ts!

Breakups can be devastating. The person you thought was really into you, suddenly isn’t. There are many common reactions which should be avoided.  First, DON’T call him in the middle of the night. No woman since the dawn of time has been successful with a middle-of-the-night phone call. Nothing productive will come out of it, and you’ll only be more upset. Second, DON’T send that email without taking time to put it away and read again later. Often these missives are spontaneous and can reveal too much. Run it by a friend first if you are still set on sending it in the morning. Lastly, DO NOT under any circumstances go over to his house uninvited. This screams “stalker” and is probably not the image you are trying to convey about yourself. We promise that you will wish you hadn’t the next day. This is a tough time. Lean on your friends, and by all means, avoid midnight communications! iVillage covers the three don'ts for getting dumped.
