Coming Out of Survival: Understand Exactly Who You Are

WaniManley Understand Exactly Who You Are

Understand exactly who You are. You are Divinity. You are the Supreme Being. You are God. God is in everything, in everyone and everywhere. God is omnipresent. God is just not this man in a white robe with long brown hair wearing Jesus Sandals that lives somewhere in the sky beyond the reaches of your eyes and mind that You will hopefully see one day when you leave this Earth. I spent all my life in church[1] and realized this six months ago at the age of 34 outside of church. Profound, to say the least. Let go of the confines of religious dogma. Seek Truth and you shall no longer be misled by illustrious illusions. God is not external. God is within in you. As You are God and God is within You, You are whole, eternal, limitless, and boundless. There is absolutely nothing, anything at all that you cannot do, become, have, change or create. You are perfect. You are beautiful, inside and out. There is nothing wrong with you. Nothing at all. You are not broken and there is absolutely nothing to fix. As You are God and God is within You, You cannot possibly fail, you haven’t failed. You are not a failure. Never tell yourself that. You are not stuck, doomed, a lost cause, hopeless, irreparable, damaged goods, or whatever illusory belief you are telling yourself and thus believing. Whatever situation You are facing or You find yourself in, recognize and realize that this is only temporary. It always is. You are not this situation, thing, or circumstance, so don’t let it define you. It isn’t You. You mustn’t believe that it is because it simply isn’t true. As You are God and God is within You, all power is within You and only You possess the power to change any situation or circumstance and at anytime. It’s up to You and only You. As You are Divinity and Divinity is You, there is no limit to what You can do, become, or have, and always remember, this too shall pass. It already has.

[1] Born to African parents from Liberia, West Africa, both sets of grandparents were Pastors and had their own well-renowned churches in the capital city of Monrovia and in the Interior of Bassa County, Liberia. At the early age of 3, I was well-known for running down the aisles of the pulpit during my maternal grandparents’ sermons jumping up and down, dancing, and singing “Thank You Jesus, Oh, Thank You Jesus.” My paternal grandparents were also well-known healers and were most commonly referred to as the “Medicine Man and Medicine Woman” as they healed countless people with herbs and the ageless rituals of the “Bassa People” our tribe, all in the name and teachings of Jesus Christ. Along with both sets of Grandparents, several of the women in my family are gifted healers and/or clairvoyants, or as we say in Liberia, “They Can See.” Even with this strong spiritual pedigree, I was never taught that God is within me and always believed God was some external person or force.

  • Thank you for reminding me God is within. It is very easy to forget and serching outside myself for someone else to help me find my way.
