Hi Ariane

I love your website, the speakers here and mostly I agree with the information you share.

I am not sure however that I completely agree with the way this message is being portrayed. Maybe it's just semantics, and I hope I don't get disregarded as just a "defensive guy", because I almost completely agree with the Dalai Lama in that the world will be changed by woman.

But here is what I would add.

1, Please don't leave the men behind. We are your brothers, your fathers and most importantly your sons. That would be a man's way of doing things. Bring us with you, dig deep and look for a solution that isn't just about "positive discrimination", but one that is about real change. A new value system for humanity as a whole.

Your blog posted is focused on what woman need to do, not how we all need to change.

2, I get "positive discrimination". That is where it seems ok to talk smaller group to help them get stronger. To educate a class of special needs children for example, or my daughters self defense class.

But at what point do you decide to withdraw that type of help and have the group grow as part of a whole. I believe it subconsciously says "you need special help, you are weaker". Are woman really less powerful and less able than men today?

You see in my world it isn't men that are the main problem, it is other woman to each other. I know of course there are exceptions, but the people who are cruelest to my wife, my sister and my daughters are in fact other woman. Woman can be so dismissive of each other for no other reason than the wrong shoes, and your magazines aren't about making the "sisterhood" feel strong, but instead insecure, vulnerable and in need of direction.

3, But Ariane, the part that concerned me the most is where you say "I am passionate about having us all take back our power". I get that, I totally do and honor you again for your work. I however don't agree that people have to get it back.

Do people really take away our power, or do we give it away by not using it?

You see if I thought I had to have a battle to retrieve my power, I might be less inclined to believe I could get it back than if I just realized it was still alive in me already.

Maybe instead of gone, its just a flame that doesn't burn so bright and needs to be tended to.

Woman, but men to, certainly need to 'start' using their power. They need to stand up and be counted, they need to learn live with an open heart and they must re-find their truth and authenticity.

Thanks again,

Stay well
