Kitty Has Cancer

I just found out 2 weeks ago that my precious kitty Charlie has cancer and that he may only have a few days to live. I am devastated. He is only 9 years old and it is just tearing my heart out to see him losing so much weight. He is my best friend and has helped me through my divorce and the death of my father.

Now that I know I’m losing him too I can barely even look at anyone without crying. I don’t know what I’m going to do without him – he is my whole world.

Please pray for Charlie – I don’t want him to suffer or to be in any pain. I feel so helpless and just don’t know what to do.

  • Hi there. I have 4 cats now. All my life I have had a cat. #in all before these 4 found their way to my heart. My last died right infront of me. Mookie waited for me to come and say goodbye at age 13. He meowed and that was it. My life was not the same for a long time. He would welcome me when I came home from work, sleep with me, eat with me, well he was my baby. I fe;lt lost and all I could do was cry. My brother, age 41 has since died from being a 1st. responder to 911,F.D.N.Y.E.M.T.He is with my Mookie. Now my Tiggerboy has a cycst in his leg. He is terrified by the vet. He is 11. So rather then traumatize him I will let him live his life out. He is not in pain but I hope it stays that way. You will feel despair that noone but you and me and perhaps a few other feel. If I can help you in any way you can call me-644-634-4837-anytime. I know exactly what you are feeling. As my Mookie slowly died, didn’t eat, they drained his kidneys,he was not happy at the vet. We brought him home to be with us. I don’t regret it for a minute. Enjoy the time you have with him. Perhaps adopt a cat now so he and you have some added company. Anything I can do,just ask. I will ask my brother to keep a watch for him and let him meet my Mookie. Don’t be sad Timmy will take good care of him. God Bless You and your sweet Boy. Salleejo

  • Dear Blue200 1 bug:
I just want you to know that I do not have any Pets, but I would like to share with you a story of a friend of mine. A few years back a Friend of mine had a Cat, I wont give the name…but This Pet was Her “Best Friend” according to her. This cat had lived with her through the Death of her Mother, Husband, Father and other Trials that she had gone through. The Cat lived to get 20 years Human Years Old. But developed Cancer and had to be “Put to Sleep”…..This Friend went into all types of Depression and became very withdrawn…Her Friends and Co-workers could not understand why she would put so much emphasis on a “Cat”. They thought that she was some kind of nut! But You as well as She had to come to realize that although you may not have had others to relate to or did not allow others to relate to. You still have to come to terms with the fact that Death is a part of life. And that God had Charlie in your life for a brief time for your comfort. But also remember after Charlie’s time is up you have to go on….And know that you have other purposes to fulfill and that you should consider helping others through organizations that would allow you the opportunity to relate to People as well as Animals. Because we all need each other and someone to talk to and respond with will help you to reach that end…
    I wish you well..
