HAPPINESS IS A RARITY
I wanted to piggy back on the gentleman who was brainwashed into thinking that having money was "evil". Not to get too psysilogial on anyone (it is Monday AM)
but money is truly a good thing. The worst, I mean absolute worst way money can destroy you is to be showy and have an attitude that says "I'm better then the next person because I can afford these wonderful items." Well, growing up we too, were not wealthy but had a comfortable lifestyle. As an adult, I understood the value of a dollar, worked for a fortune 100 company for 21 years (right out of college), made a very high 5 figure salary and with that earned money did all and was able to have it all. Well last year, the rug was literally pulled out from under us, we have gone into the worst financial crisis imaginable and on the verge of being forclosed on. I look back at what did I do to deserve this. I have always been very generous without expectations. Whats mine is yours, period. That included strangers as well. It makes me smile and happy inside to help others that are not as fortunate. Funny, but I need an Angel today..I cannot qualify for food stamps because of my "zip code", welfare - not a chance, state funded programs; I again, do not qualify. I find it disheartening that I never in my life took advantage of any government issued programs and now that I truly need it, I am not elegible. Job status; horrible. AT&T eliminated 90% of all managerial positions in South Florida. My dream to retire with them has since gone up in smoke. My savings, gone. It has been very depressing but I am trying to keep a positive attitude by continuously reminding myself that GOD does not close one door without opening another. That is great but what did I do to derserve this? What about all the entertainers, sports figures, etc..who are self-centered, get divorced every two years, feel the need to purchase 2k hobo bags and 4k Jimmy Cho's. If every person who feel within the upper class financially donated $100 to a fund set up to help AMERICANS in destress, there would be a glimmer of hope. If anyone has any kind words of encouragement, knows of a great work at home position that they have discovered on the web, knows the secret to get accepted for government plans (temporarily), pls share. I intend to go back to school within the next few weeks and start all over with a major in journelism or Criminal Investigations. Again, if there is anyone out there who can offer me some advise, websites, or a home based business that really works (with little investment) pls email, if you would. Thanks and sorry for the lengthy email. Sometimes words start to flow and I cannot stop.
Warm Regards,
Laura Cicetti

Dear Laura,
Your message almost seems like a solicitation for donations. I don't really think you have shared any wisdom & think your post is inappropriate. I am sorry to hear that you are going through rough times, but as someone who did not grow up 'comfortable,' nor did I land a sweet, high paying job right out of college, I am having a hard time feeling like you have it worse than anyone else. Perhaps if you were grateful for the money that you had and lost, you may stop feeling like you did something to deserve not having any money left. Your 'poor me' attitude is doing nothing to help you, or spread happiness to people who have come here looking for help finding it.
I know it may seem like a cliche but keep your head up. Stopping praying for strength and pray for solutions; and I guarantee you will see results. Because when we keep our head up that lets the divine spirit know you are ready whenever he/she is.
