Augustus Papaceno is only 11 years old, but he gave a very special gift for his mother—one that a “grown-up” might never even consider. Augustus shaved his long, blonde hair off his head and is now bald for his mom, Louise Owens, who also shaved her head to avoid losing it during treatment for breast cancer.

Sporting matching nearly hairless heads, Louise hopes to get a wig made from the locks cut with love from her son—and her own hair. Augustus had been growing his hair for the non-profit foundation, Locks of Love, since 2005, but probably never imagined his hair would one day go to his own mother.
