I know that , for so many New Year's resolutions, I have 'resolved' to be a kinder, nicer, self-less person. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this dilemma, and if there might be a thirty-day 'format' that help accomplish this.....................

When you find out your child is autistic you are faced with change on many levels:accepting a child that is not "perfect", changing your approach to communication and parenting, dealing with other peoples perceptions, dealing with guilt/shame/rejection/stress/frustration/hope/despair/loneliness/persistence/progress/regression...
Learning to accept your beautiful child's diagnoses as an opportunity to open your heart and see beauty and hope in all people regardless if they are "like us".

How about help with overcoming fear. I'm a stay at home mom and my husband lost his job without any warning 2 yrs ago and we were a breath away from losing it all! That absolutely shook me to my core. He did finally find another job at the last minute but had to move far away from us to take it. That was 2 yrs ago! Since then, my fear of absolutely everything has completely taken over my life. I know lots of Americans are struggling now too. How about some "how to" for worry warts like me who now live in constant fear about everything, all the time. Nothing has ever scared me so bad in my whole life. I don't think I'll EVER be the same.

Change people's focus from "Me & Us" to "Him & Them". There are 6 Billion plus of us, 2/3 rds. of which live day to day with little hope or chance of improvement. We can make a difference. Ariane, you certainly do! My motto, If I help you, who will you help? Pick a "change" from that. The "N" in our C.H.O.S.E.N.rescue mission; "New Life for those who have nothing". New Life can be a big change to many people especially if they have nothing.
