What to Do
I am a 68 year old widow. I lost my husband about a year and a half ago. I had been doing okay, but lately I've been in a real rut. I am very lonely and very bored. I just can't seem to find anything that "piques" my interest. I have considered online dating, but have heard about some horror stories there. I volunteer, but it's here a "dab" and there a "dab." I feel like I'm headed for that dreaded "dark hole." Can anyone help me? I keep myself physically active. I would just like someone to share life with.

judeo29, So sorry for your loss. You will soon realize that you are a WOW..Woman of Wisdom. You have so much living to share with others and when you are involved helping people by sharing your life experiences with them, you will be giving yourself a reward and can eliminate that feeling of loneliness. So go ahead, pick a person, young or older, a group or a cause and give it your all, they are waiting for you. When you place yourself into a position of giving and sharing, openheartedly, the Universe will send you what you need to fulfill your life.

I dont know if that will help you in an way.
My mum was the same age as you when she decided to get separated from my dad. They never got a divorce, neither did she ever move out of the house. She has her own room at my parents house and takes care of the household. But she definitely was missing the connection, the physical aspect and the friendship of a relationship.
Since she loves to dance, she went on those dance"teas" that we have in our country. They are every sunday (and I am sure you will find of those in your community as well). One day she met a guy who totally fell for her. She was "interested":-). This guy invited her to go and meet a friend of his (what he really wanted was proof that my mum was the kind of woman he looked for). Well long story short. My mum and this guy went for coffee and cake to this guys friend. AND..... it turned out that the friend and my mum fell in love on first sight :-) ! How cool is this? I think the secret is to stay open for possibilities and go and do what you love to do. And one do someone else will share those special times with you.
