Got A Tip?

Tips

Tightly Organized

Icon_tip_3

As you begin your adoption journey, you’ll be researching and contacting numerous people and agencies. There will be tons of information and paperwork that you’ll need to catalog. The more organized you are, the easier the process will flow.

Start an organization system to ensure that everything’s kept in a safe place. Label folders and files logically and keep everything in them. You should also get a notebook in which to write down information from your telephone conversations, including contact names, numbers and what was discussed.

Also, you may want to keep a calendar handy on which to mark special meetings and conferences. The adoption process will take time, but if you have everything at your fingertips, it will be a lot less stressful!
