You may or may not know that Dave Thomas, the founder of Wendy’s restaurants, was adopted. You also may not know that there is a Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The foundation ranked the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces in the US this week. Florida and South Carolina come in tied for first. Richardson, TX (a Dallas suburb), Carmel, IN and Kentucky round out the top five.
According to the list, these areas have the companies with the best policies toward amount of paid leave as well as financial assistance provided. More information is available at the foundation's web site.
No word on whether recognition for each adoption-friendly workplace includes free Frostys at the drive-thru for life. Has your employer helped you with your adoption?
